The Process
At Hafren Architecture we work collaboratively with our clients and consultants throughout the project. Principal Architect, Lucy Crawford-Sandison, provides full personal attention and over 20 years of experience in architecture and the construction industry, to truly understand each unique vision, practical needs, and budget.
We support a variety of construction processes from traditional contracts to owner builder, to construction management.
We incorporating the skills of crafts persons and artists using our extensive experience with traditional and natural building materials such as rammed earth, strawbale, hempcrete, mud brick, recycled timber, stone, and natural rendered masonry, alongside contemporary materials and technologies.
At Hafren Architecture, we treat each project individually by:
- Forming a friendly, collaborative relationship with our clients.
- Listening carefully to truly understand the unique vision, the place, and the budget.
- Considering the local climate, the surrounding landscape, and the unique character of a place.
- Practical and poetic analysis of the existing landscape (built or natural).
- Design services from concept to construction documentation, development applications and contracts and construction phase assistance.
